Chipping and Brushing Service
The Mariposa County Fire Safe Council has a Chipping and Brushing Program available to help the citizens of Mariposa County acheive the 100 feet DEFENSIBLE SPACE around their homes and structures.
We offer the Chipping for FREE to those who are able to brush their defensible space. All that we ask is that you pile it like the picture below; along a driveway that can be easily accessed by our truck and chipper, and we will take care of the rest!!
The Brushing of the 100 feet defensible space is available to those who qualify. You either have to be a Senior over 60 and financially unable to pay someone to do the work. Or disabled and financially unable to pay someone to do the work. We also offer the brushing to Deployed citizens of Mariposa County who again are financially unable to pay someone to do the brush cutting.

The crew will be taking care of residents whom have been on the list for some time. We are accepting new applications for brushing and chipping, but please be advised that the wait is well over a month, pending weather conditions.
